Crossmolina itself is a small town in North Mayo, with a very large parish, bordering on other neighbouring towns and villages.  This makes it very accessible and puts it within commuting distance of several commercial centres.   It has undergone substantial expansion and improvement over the last few years with new buildings and housing developments on the outskirts of the town.   There has also been development of the tourist industry to take advantage of its fantastic views, the River Deel flowing through the town and a beautiful riverwalk along the banks on both sides of the bridge.   The famous Lough Conn is only a ten-minute walk from the town, which is beginning to fish like it did in the mid 1970’s and 1980’s, when it was one of the best in Europe.  The Nephin mountain range stands out from each direction you travel to the town from with beautiful scenery surrounding it.    This town has a lot to offer both young and old with friendly enthusiastic and loyal parishioners and new faces always arriving and visiting.
