The internal stone walls have been left exposed, the fireplace retained and the surrounding walls and landscaping are perfectly matched to the cottage. This is the older of the two restored cottages, dating back about 200 years. It has been partially completed with a temporary corrugated aluminium roof, electricity, water and heating installed and the windows and doors finished.
Still to be finished are the utility room attached to the front of the house, the end of the cottage to the far side of the fireplace that could be a conservatory, sun room or extension of the stone exterior and the division of the main interior.
|
MAIN ROOM : 10.9m x 2.90m
The front door opens directly into this magnificent room that runs almost the length of the existing building. The internal stone walls have been left exposed throughout and the ceiling has exposed struts and supports for the corrugated aluminium. One end of the room has a very large fireplace with medieval design grate and the floor has the original stone slabs. The other half has a timber floor, is fitted with a bar and has a pine ceiling installed. Running the length of the room are a series of picture windows overlooking the land towards Croagh Patrick. This room could easily be converted into a bedroom and living room with a small kitchen.

|
BATHROOM: 2.56m x 2.45m
An excellent room white W.C., wash basin and Jacuzzi bath with whirlpool and underwater lighting. Tiled floor to ceiling, tiled bath surround and tiled floor. Power shower over bath, heated towel rail.
TO BE COMPLETED:
There is a partially finished utility room to the front of the cottage and the room at the far end has only the original stone walls in place.
