General Store

 

 

 

A large supermarket style general store that currently sells a comprehensive range of foodstuffs and hardware including fresh fruit and vegetables, frozen food, chilled food, soft drinks and confectionary.  Additional yard sales include coal, briquettes, fence posts and propane cylinder refills.

 

To the rear is a large clean store for holding products prior to retail sale.

 

Drawing custom from Loughisburgh and its environs as well as passing traffic this is a brisk business with a substantial annual turnover.  It has become an established part of the local community over the years and has no competition in the local area.

 

This is considered to be one of the most scenically beautiful parts of Ireland with its views across the bay and local mountains.  With Croagh Patrick just a few miles drive away the tourist trade is served with a number of Bed & Breakfast guest houses and other attractions.  All this will guarantee that potential custom will continue to grow in the future.

 

 

 
Filling Station

 

The filling station consists of four pumps for petrol and diesel on the main forecourt.  This is on a large open space with ample room for all sized vehicles to draw up to either side of the pumps.   The underground tanks hold 20,000 litres of fuels and are fitted with vapour recovery facilities to prevent fugitive VOC  (volatile organic compounds) during filling, as recommended by the EPA.  There are also trapping pits to contain catastrophic spills.

 

Planning permission has been obtained for a weather proof canopy over the pumps and this can be invoked at any time.

 

‘Green agricultural diesel fuel is pumped from a separate above-ground tank located outside the service bay.

 

Compressed air for tyre inflation is also available at the Service bay.

 

 

 

Service Bay

 

The service bay is an enclosed area 39 ft. by 37 ft. with a full tyre repair and changing service, including a stock of the most common tyres, and facilities for general motor repairs.

 

All the major equipment is included in the sale.  The more important items include:

 

            Tyre changer   -   Boxer Swing pro 20

            Wheel balancer  -  Giuliano S449

            Lift  -  3.2 tonnes total capacity

            Tyre rack with all tyres

            Industrial buffer tank air compressor.

 

All this equipment is less than a year old and is in excellent condition.

 

More general repairs are also undertaken using spare parts obtained from Louisburgh or Westport.
